404 limits personal data collection to what is reasonably necessary to operate the account and billing relationship. In practice, that primarily means your email address, limited account records, and minimal payment-status metadata needed for support and service administration.
Billing is processed by Stripe as our payment processor. Full payment card information is handled by Stripe and does not enter 404 systems. We generally retain only the limited transaction information required to confirm payment status, maintain account history, and respond to billing-related requests.
404's core software operates locally on your machine. Traffic processed by the application, including browser and network-layer activity handled by the product itself, is not routed through 404 infrastructure and is not collected as part of account administration.
For the website, we use self-hosted Plausible analytics to review aggregate usage and site performance. We do not use third-party advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or data-broker enrichment, and we do not sell, rent, or share personal data for marketing purposes.
You may request deletion of your account information by contacting support@404privacy.com. Requests are handled in accordance with the privacy policy and any legal or operational obligations that apply.
